Position Specific Description NextEra Energy is currently seeking a Wind Fleet Electronics Engineer who can apply diversified knowledge of electronic circuit design engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments and fields related to wind power generation. This candidate will need to make decisions independently regarding engineering complexities and methods. This position requires the use of advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices in this individual’s field. Supervision and guidance related largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters will be required.

Candidate will be responsible for improving upon and creating new designs for wind turbine electronics:

  • Working knowledge of both analog and digital circuit design principals
  • Experience in working with existing and designing new embedded control systems and algorithms
  • Ability to review and create electronic circuit schematics
  • Knowledge in the manufacturing process of electronic circuit boards
  • Ability to develop solutions to obsolete technology
  • Problem Solving and Project Management skills a must

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering and five plus years of experience in the area of electronic circuit design. Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer is a Plus.
